To hit a drop, use a soft, controlled swing and aim to land the ball gently in your opponent’s kitchen. The goal is to take away their attacking options and give yourself time to move up to the kitchen line. For beginners, learning a consistent drop is an important step toward playing smarter, more controlled pickleball.

Two beginner serves every pickleball player should know are the bounce serve and the out-of-the-air serve. The bounce serve lets the ball bounce before you make contact, while the out-of-the-air serve is hit directly from your hand before the ball touches the ground. Try both on the court and find the serve that works best for your game! 🏓
