Even coaches have lifts that need fixing.

This clip is from my Level 1 certification, and you can see three things happening immediately:

• My hips shoot up first
• The bar loops away from my body
• My receiving position is too wide

When those positions get corrected, the lift becomes smoother, faster, and more consistent.

If your hips shoot up the second the bar leaves the floor

You’re not sn**ching.

You’re stiff-leg deadlifting.

When the hips rise faster than the shoulders:
• You lose leg drive
• The bar drifts forward
• You end up chasing the lift

The first pull should be patient.

Hips and shoulders rise together.
Pressure stays through midfoot.
Chest stays over the bar.

Most missed sn**ches start in the first 2 inches off the floor.

If you want your lifts to feel smoother and stronger, you need better positions — not more weight.
