The Fort Morgan Wrestling family lost a huge part of our family a few days ago. My heart is shattered by the passing of the love of my life, Fabian Vigil.
Fabian and I fell in love the moment we met at wrestling practice at Fort Morgan High School when I was just 15 years old. He was always so proud of me for wrestling the boys, and from day one he supported me and believed in me 100%.
Over the last 19 years, we built a beautiful life together and created an incredible family with our daughter, Skye, our two dogs, Sunny and Luna, and our cat, Diego.
The day we found out we had the opportunity to coach girls wrestling at the same high school where we fell in love, was one of the happiest days of our lives. His passion for wrestling came rushing back the moment he stepped into that wrestling room as a coach.
Fabian became so much more than a coach. He was a mentor, a role model, and a friend to so many girls over the years. He was an incredible wrestler, and an even more incredible person—quick, intelligent, funny, loving, tough, sarcastic, dependable, and endlessly encouraging. He had a gift for knowing exactly what each girl needed to hear. He could make them laugh after the hardest practices, lift them up after heartbreaking losses, and celebrate every victory as if it were his own.
He loved every single one of our athletes as if they were our own daughters, and they loved him right back. The impact he made on their lives and on our wrestling family will never be forgotten.

May you be free.
May you be at peace.
May you be safe.
Until we meet again, my love.
