I walked up and down both sides of all the streets including the alleys looking for gracy around my home south of plate all the way to railroad and then west of main all the way to west st and no signs of her I was hoping someone had her in their backyard or even if she seen me in the front windows I kno her bark and cry it’s very unique she sounds like a frenchie how they have that distinct cry I know her voice and I didn’t hear it or see her after work spent 4hrs and tired now called the catcher nothing and just really praying that this great community that we live in tho small in number but great in hospitality and character will come together and make this family happy we miss gracy please if you are on my friends list and live in Morgan county please share share share it might not take but two seconds but will mean the world to me u whomever shares it could be our hero we need you to spread the word and bring gracy home 🙏🏽 please we beg you 🙏🏽

Meet the owner Master Plumber and philanthropist
Placido Jose Montoya

Dencity was conceived back in 2010 while I was in a darker part of my life and finishing up a sentence I had to finish. Although I would not get off of paper 📝 for another 6 years(2016) I was still working towards bringing dencity to life. I began plumbing while I was on parole and I dedicated many hrs blood sweat and tears towards something I knew would one day change my life. I was hungry (still am) and I wanted to learn everything about plumbing that I could.

In my first years I was blessed to work for a mechanical outfit that was doing big jobs and working in heating and cooling stuff with hydronics and boilers and air handlers and all the big money stuff that one day I will bid but at least I have the experience in how to assemble boilers mechanical rooms and every aspect of the system. After not being happy with the structure of that company I found myself working with a commercial plumbing outfit and that’s where I refined my skills.

Once with the commercial outfit they had me running work for them and at this stage I’m only two yrs into the trade but efficient at what I do at this point. But once again the structure of the company left me wanting more and so I left for a better opportunity but this time it was a residential company that did big new homes.

Working with this company they were paying me great but I wanted to be running jobsites for them and they promised me a chance once an opening came up so I jus grinded and grinded and became the fastest installer they had for all phases but once an opening came available they gave it to a white guy and I don’t care if the white guy is in charge if he is the proper fit and responsible but when I get passed up just based on skin color I just quit I would not waste another day working for racists company’s sadly this was not the only company that I had ti quit for this reason my ethics and morals won’t allow me to work for a racist or bigot.

At this point I decided to go back to a commercial plumbing company because residential was not challenging enough for me and I was ready to challenge myself again. Once I was back in commercial plumbing I felt like I was home more comfortable with bigger jobs and tasks. This lasted for a lil bit and I’m glad I got experience in apartments with this company but once again I was working for the good ol boys and I just can’t work for a racist so I found myself out the door but it was fine I was ready to work with a company that respected my values and worth.

Now I’m living in fort Morgan and found a company that was bidding all the bigger jobs out in this area of the state and they were paying me great I was doing fun jobs learning a lot challenging myself and just growing as a plumber and a person and it was going great until Covid happened I found myself in a bind and having to raise kids and still work. Some of us were still required to go to work and not get any extra hours incentive because plumbers aren’t nurses or drs we are expendable. I found myself having to quit work and take care of the kids and still figure out how to make bills. But we never give up we always find a way in my household we just are different.

Thankfully I found a job that was plumbing and night shift and so I took it and this was the hardest part of my life I was required to go to work and teach the kids and still get rest and hold the house together because of Covid but I managed I did it and although it did take me to my breaking point it did make me realize what I’m capable of doing when my back is against the wall. I hit my breaking point a year into the lack of sleep and both night shift and teaching kids stuff I didn’t even kno lol 😂 I ended up quitting plumbing altogether. I took a one year hiatus from plumbing I was soul searching for what I wanted to do with my life I was unhappy for sure and I needed to find my ☮️.

During my one year vacation from plumbing I found myself budtending and selling w**d and it was epic I loved working as a budtender but the upper management and owners of the dispo made it hard to make a living and then when they started to steal my tips I was over it and quit I remember one time a customer tipped me $50 for one sell which is unheard of like I used to get $20s all the time but a $50 is rare to get a tip that high but I did and was super proud of it and I kept track of my tips as they put them in cause I’ve never trusted anyone and when they stole my $50 I had enough and left those greedy ppl. Makes me sad I love that industry and will one day be in it again but just not working for some greedy company’s.

This is when I knew it was time to start Dencity this is when I knew in my heart I had the knowledge experience and tools to fly solo and I just went for it. Nobody taught me how to run a business market a business or even create a brand but yet here I am in year three and am relevant in the conversation when ppl need good wholesome plumbing at a decent price and with service with respect and a smile. As I started earning more work out in northeastern Colorado it was apparent that my services were in need because all the other companies were just being rude with customers not responding to customers just all around making it easy for a new business to come in with better ethics and morals and putting the customer first to jus come in and become a force to recon with.

I hate to do this but if everyone can please bear with me I will be out next week the 25th unfortunately I was takin my car to get maintenance done for the road trip and my thermostat is bad and I can’t drive my car until it gets replaced and they won’t have the part in until Tuesday so I have to be safe than sorry and wait until I can get the part and switch it out good news is it’s not a hard fix or costly but the part is not available tho til Tuesday but it is one of those parts FYI don’t drive with it bad cause it can cost u a motor very fast the thermostat regulates the flow of coolant into ur engine and if it is closed or malfunctioning it will make it to where ur motor will overheat and once that happens u are talking about more severe damage so even tho the fix is cheap and easy don’t drive around with a bad thermostat I have learned from experience is why I’m saying this 😢 I will be at ghost hawk park 1 pm the 25th of sept instead of tomorrow I’m so sorry for anyone that was planning on coming tomorrow I hope u can make it next weekend 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I’m goin to be planning on coming out for the last session of the summer in a couple weeks the 18th location to be determined. and I will be planning some camps for the fall session and winter sessions I jus got overwhelmed with car issues I was able to sort out and now I will be able to continue the work we have already started I look forward to seeing everyone again and maybe some new faces and let’s have some fun share some laughs and jus enjoy one another. The plan is still in place and I want to get us a permanent boxing gym on the Rez for future generations to be able to express themselves as warriors in the squared circle. I will have more information in the weeks leading up to the last boxing camp of our summer session but we will be getting some work in in the fall and winter🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏I love u all and I am excited to come out again and jus spend some time with u all it is always good for my spirit and I hope I make u smile too this will be free of charge and I will be cooking something for everyone after tbd but yes let’s train hard have fun and laugh lots love u all and can’t wait to see u all there
