🌳✨ Another little sneak peek…

You see, when you marry a teacher, there’s a little clause in the marriage contract nobody tells you about… you are automatically volunteered for classroom decorating at the beginning of every school year. 😂

Our Curriculum Coach, Lou Ann Bigsby, had a vision for this tree—and thankfully she also had a husband willing to climb a ladder and help make it happen! 🤣❤️

Watching this classroom come together has been so much fun. What started with brown paper, a ladder, a whole lot of twisting and shaping, and probably a few “just move that branch a little more…” instructions turned into something pretty special.

And we LOVE what this corner represents. 🌱

ROOTED IN FAITH.
Rooted in purpose.
Growing in knowledge.
And creating a place where our students know they belong.

There are still plenty of finishing touches to come, but our Wauchula classroom is starting to feel like Fultwood. 💚

And a special thank you to the spouses, family members, volunteers, and friends who somehow get recruited into these crazy ideas and help us bring them to life. We couldn’t do it without you!

Our classroom is coming to life! 🌿📚✨

Our amazing Curriculum Coach, Lou Ann Bigsby, and our wonderful volunteer, Susan, have spent the last three days pouring their time, creativity, and love into this space—and today things are really starting to come together!

Every little detail is being created with our students in mind. I absolutely LOVE our “Rooted in Faith” tree and the warm, welcoming space they’re creating for our kids. 🌳✝️

We’re getting closer and closer to opening our doors, and seeing the classroom transform makes the excitement feel so real!

A HUGE thank you to Lou Ann and Susan for giving so much of themselves to help make our Wauchula classroom a place where our students can learn, grow, feel at home, and thrive. 💚

Fultwood didn't begin because we wanted to build another school.

It began because we believed homeschool families deserved more options.

More support.

More opportunities.

More people willing to meet children where they are.

What started as an idea has grown into a community of families, teachers, tutors and enrichment providers—and we're still growing.

The new school year is just beginning, and we're excited to see where it takes us.

At Fultwood Outdoors Academy, we truly believe that teamwork and communication between our families and our staff are essential. When a family commits to a spot, we immediately begin preparing for that student—purchasing curriculum, setting up accounts, planning instruction, and making sure our teachers are ready to meet that student where they are.

🍎📚 FIRST OFFICIAL DAY BACK FOR OUR TEACHERS! 📚🍎

Today was a GREAT day at Fultwood Outdoors Academy! 💛

Our virtual teaching and onboarding staff drove all the way from Live Oak to join us this morning. We started the day with a great breakfast, lots of conversation, and then got right to work!

We made some serious headway today:
✨ Training on our grading and grade-entry process
✨ Reviewing our systems and platforms
✨ Going over structures, expectations, and procedures
✨ Planning and preparing for our students
✨ Making sure our team is ready to meet each student right where they are

After our morning together, our teachers reported directly to the school and got to work preparing their spaces and getting everything ready!

There is something so exciting about watching all the pieces come together. What started as a vision continues to grow into something pretty special. ❤️

Today was GREAT… and we’re just getting started!

Learning isn't confined to a desk.

Sometimes it looks like measuring ingredients.

Sometimes it's caring for an animal.

Sometimes it's practicing a new skill over and over until you finally get it.

Sometimes it's opening a textbook with a teacher who explains something in a way that FINALLY makes sense.

And sometimes it's getting outside and experiencing something you've only read about.

That's the beauty of homeschooling.

They are absolutely loving learning to sew, getting creative, and seeing their hard work turn into something they can be proud of. There’s just something special about watching kids discover the joy of making something with their own two hands. 🪡🧵💕

We love creating opportunities for our students to learn new skills, explore their interests, and have FUN while doing it!
