Congratulations to all the players selected to this year's SFAAA Softball League All Star teams!

Special shoutout to Paul Pilger Travis Johnson-Burkley and Charles Dunn who were selected to represent Riptide in the game. Our manager Joseph Ioia was asked to coach but had to decline due to prior obligations.

Having 3 players and a manager selected is a testament to the season we had and a reflection of how well the team played as a whole. Best of luck out there next weekend and see you all at the GSWS Columbus.

🌊 Week 10 Recap – 1-0 🌊

Mission accomplished.

Game 1: Reapers – 10-3 ✅
Game 1 MVP: Travis Johnson

After two weeks off, the team looked a little out of sorts early on. We jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but found ourselves nursing a 5-3 advantage late in the game. The defense wasn’t up to our standard overall, but when the big moments came, we made the plays that mattered. As time expired, the offense broke things open with a huge 5-run inning to put the game away.

And with that…

🏆 Riptide has officially punched its ticket to the 2026 GSWS in Columbus, Ohio. 🏆

From the first pitch of the season to now, this team battled through adversity, tough losses, and pressure moments to earn it.

The job’s not finished yet, but this was a huge step toward the ultimate goal.

Columbus, here we come. 🌊

🌊 Week 9 Recap – 0-2 🌊

Tough day yesterday for Riptide, dropping two close games. One win would have clinched our berth to the GSWS in Columbus, so this one stings.

Game 1: Conglomerate – 4-7
Game 2: Conglomerate – 9-10

Game 1 came down to a few mental errors on defense and a lack of timely hitting, which put us in a hole we couldn’t climb out of.

Game 2 was even tougher to swallow. We held a 7-2 lead late and were in position to close it out, but more defensive miscues allowed them to battle back and take a 10-7 lead. Credit to the team for fighting until the end as we rallied in the final inning, but ultimately fell just short, 10-9.

We now head into a BYE week, but the mission is still right in front of us.

Makeup game vs. Reapers — a chance to secure our berth to the GSWS in Columbus.
