FTL Riptide Softball Riptide is a member team of the South Florida Amateur Athletic Association (SFAAA) C Division, proudly based in Fort Lauderdale.

🌊 OUR 2026 GSWS Columbus RUN COMES TO AN END 🌊

After fighting our way through two elimination games and picking up two wins today, our run at the 2026 Gay Softball World Series came to an end in our third game of the day.

We leave Columbus with a 6-3 overall record and a Top 25 finish.

Was it the result we came here for? No.

But there is absolutely nothing to be disappointed about.

We went 3-1 in pool play, battled through the double-elimination bracket, played nine games against teams from across the country, and kept fighting until the very last out.

More importantly, we did it together.

We're incredibly proud of this team, the way we competed, and the way we represented Riptide and South Florida on one of the biggest stages in our sport. 🌊

Thank you to everyone who followed along, watched our games, sent messages, and supported us throughout the week. It meant more than you know. Special thank you to our sponsors The Well - Wilton Manors, Relax and Get Results, LLC, Marcus Gola, and Royal Tease Salon.

The goal will always be to bring a championship home.

🌊 **RIPTIDE IS STILL ALIVE IN COLUMBUS!** 🌊

We went 1-1 today as double-elimination play got underway at the 2026 GSWS.

🔥 Game 1: Riptide 20 - The Loft 5

We came out swinging and took care of business in a big way, putting up 20 runs to open bracket play with a statement win.

🥎 Game 2: Trouble C 14 - Riptide 10

A hard-fought battle in Game 2, but we came up just short and took our first loss of the double-elimination tournament.

That means the road gets a whole lot tougher from here.

Tomorrow, we hit the field at 11:30 AM with our backs against the wall. If we want to keep playing into Saturday, the mission is simple:

WIN. SIX. STRAIGHT.

We didn’t come all the way to Columbus to go quietly.

🌊 POOL PLAY COMPLETE: RIPTIDE FINISHES 3-1! 🌊

We split our two games today to close out pool play at the 2026 GSWS Columbus finishing with a 3-1 record and earning the #17 seed heading into the double-elimination tournament! 💪🥎

Game 1: Win

Riptide had to battle from behind, but this team kept fighting and found a way to get it done.

Game 1 MVP: Kelly Immel

Kelly was huge on both sides of the ball, pitching a great game and then stepping up when we needed it most with the game-winning hit to complete the comeback! 🔥

Game 1: Loss

A tough one to close out pool play. We battled, but couldn't get enough going to finish the day 2-0.

Still, 3-1 through pool play puts us exactly where we want to be: playing meaningful softball with everything in front of us.

Now the real fun begins. 😤
