Hope is a sacred act of defiance in dark times.
There is so much pain right now.
People are hurting.
And many are scared...
of what's happening,
of what's coming,
of what might be lost.
And still
even here,
even now,
there is something in us that refuses to give up.
HOPE.
Not the kind of hope that bypasses reality or
pretends everything is ok.
But the kind of hope that looks directly at
the grief,
the violence,
the uncertainty,
and still chooses love.
Still chooses to show up with passion for justice
and compassion in our hearts.
Still believes that something beautiful is possible,
if we are brave enough to build it.
These darkening times are asking for our presence,
our broken open hearts.
our holy rage
and our hope, in action.
You see, hope is a practice.
It’s what we choose in the face of despair.
It lives in our willingness to keep creating,
to keep protecting each other,
to keep speaking truth,
to keep imagining a world rooted in justice, dignity, and care.
As we Rise Up....
and take a stand.
So, my friends,
stay close to your hearts.
Do not harden or turn away.
Do not become the angry child.
Let us rather become the fierce and tender leaders
this moment asks for.
Our souls and our future depend on it.
With Love,
Val*
