More on Mars square Saturn, (and Dolly Parton) 💫 In 1976, Porter Wagoner sued Dolly for $3M - they settled out of court with Dolly paying him $1M. This was because she left his show.

Truth is, she was the bigger star. As a child growing up in the West, I used to watch their show with my Dad. It was a big deal.

Dolly reached a point where she wanted to make it on her own. Porter was a traditionalist; Dolly, with Uranus in the 10th house - a rule breaker and a modernist. And it was in response to this relationship break that she wrote one of her biggest hits: "I Will Always Love You."

Classy, with an irrevocable belief in self. Then, of course, there's the part where she bailed Porter out financially in the late 1980's by gifting him back his music catalog which she had purchased anonymously.

As Mars and Saturn dance this week - remember the velvet glove approach. Don't underestimate Mars in Cancer; and for sure do not discount Saturn in Aries. What you want is the desired outcome; a win without any huge losses.

Apply your own iron fist to break new ground. Be brave and stand tall and believe in yourself - like Dolly did to Porter.

Mars square Saturn. Perfects Sept 1! This is a waxing, or applying square between two planets now residing in signs of their 'fall', aka- not their happy places. In fall, both planets lose grace and power.

Dolly Parton had an similar flavor of Mars & Saturn in Cancer in her birth chart. Mars in fall; Saturn in detriment. However, she made it work. I call it her iron fist in a velvet glove gift; the demeanor and words she used to disarm Barbara Walters, David Letterman, and of course Porter Wagner - back in the day.
