We are a LGBT softball league committed to providing an opportunity for both gay and non-gay participants to compete in an environment welcoming and open to the gay community. Founded in 1994 as the South Fl

orida Softball League, SFAAA has emerged as the premiere softball league for gay and le***an athletes with over twenty-five teams and almost four hundred members. Two seasons are held annually, one beginning in late February and the second at the beginning of September. A draft and tryout clinic is held prior to each season to help new members find teams on which to play. Four competitive levels afford the opportunity for anyone to play, regardless of their athletic ability or skill level. On a broader level, the SFAAA is affiliated with the North America Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA) and plays in accordance with the playing rules established by the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA). In maintaining these affiliations, SFAAA is afforded the opportunity to compete on a national and international level with other slow pitch softball leagues across the country and around the world. https://www.sfaaasoftball.com

🥎Calling all potential recruits!!!! 🥎

We have decided to add another Recruitment Day. If you missed any of the prior sessions, now is you chance to join the fun! This Recruitment session is set for September 13th. Checkin starts at 9:00am, session starts at 10:00am.

Whether you are a new potential player, or an ex-player looking to get back into it, come join us! We are looking forward to seeing you there!

🥎 SFAAA FALL SEASON UPDATE 🥎

Following an amazing 2026 Gay Softball World Series, we are postponing the start of the Fall Season by one week to give our teams, players, and managers a well-deserved weekend to rest and recharge!

Opening Day: Sunday, September 20

We will use Sunday, September 13 as our Recruitment Day:

9:30 AM – Registration Opens
10:00 AM – Recruitment Day Begins

Draft – Immediately following completion of player ratings by the Ratings Committee

Congratulations to South Florida United on an incredible run at the 2026 Gay Softball World Series in Columbus! 🥎🌈

After making the move up to the A Division this year, United earned the #1 seed and battled their way to an impressive 4th-place finish against some of the best competition at GSWS.

The determination, teamwork, and pride this team showed throughout the week made South Florida proud.
