Due to abdominal surgery, I had to take fall the semester off from practicing. We're working on adding 4 practices this November!

Thank you to our Orange County sister dojo for sharing this. Knowing where you come from is key to where you are and where you are going.

We start every class by bowing to the founder and his students to thank them for developing our amazing art. Kokikai founder Maruyama Shuji is highlighted.

FYI the University COVID guidelines require that we delay starting practice up with the new semester. I will post again when we are permitted to resume practicing.

The end of the semester is upon us. Increased COVID positive cases, increased classwork loads, and decreased attendance numbers have resulted in our having to cancel the remaining meetings for the semester.

We'll be back at it in the Spring semester though. We'll also be adjusting the practice time to after the workday is done. This will permit staff and faculty to attend too! Who knew that a Friday at 9:00 am practice time wouldn't be popular with college students? 🙃
