Meet Two New Partners on the Kodiak Build

Some upgrades are about capability. Others are about making the miles more enjoyable.

As a family that spends a lot of time on the road—and travels everywhere with a giant Saint Bernard—we knew Kodiak’s interior needed to be just as adventure-ready as the rest of the truck.

That’s where Kustom Interior™ and Canvasback Cargo Liners came in.

Kustom Interior transformed the Tundra with a full leather conversion that looks and feels factory-installed. Easy to clean, incredibly comfortable, and built for years of use, it’s exactly what we wanted for a vehicle that sees everything from muddy trailheads to month-long expeditions.

Canvasback solved another challenge entirely. With half the rear seat dedicated to our four-legged co-pilot, we needed a way to protect the interior from fur, drool, scratches, and everything in between. Their custom-fit door protector does exactly that—and even features matching white stitching to complement the new leather interior.

Just last month, we hit the trail for another unforgettable Overland Trek Across Maine.

Miles of dirt roads, remote campsites, great conversations around the fire, and a reminder of just how much there is left to explore right here in our own backyard.

Trips like OTAM aren’t really about the miles. They’re about the people, the places, and the memories made along the way.

Some campsites are good. Others are the kind you remember long after the trip is over.

These two spots from recent adventures reminded us why we spend so much time chasing dirt roads, studying maps, and wondering what’s around the next corner. No crowds. No reservations. No distractions. Just great people, incredible views, and the kind of places that make you want to stay one more night.

The miles, the planning, and the long days behind the wheel are all worth it when you end up somewhere like this.

Public update for our Boothbay Rigs & Brews Weekend! They say Québec has more than 3 million lakes, rivers, and bodies of fresh water. On the Trans Taiga, that number stops being a statistic and starts becoming reality.
