For the first time in 20 years, Mill Creek Ranch has a few openings for horse boarding.

We are a quiet, low-key, primarily word-of-mouth 150-acre ranch located in beautiful Scott Valley, Siskiyou County. Our focus is on providing a peaceful, supportive environment for both horses and their people.

Horses enjoy large paddocks averaging 1–2 acres each, all with covered run-ins. When available, paddocks can be opened into larger shared pasture areas. We strive to provide individualized care based on each horse’s needs and well-being.

Amenities include:
• 80' x 160' lighted covered arena
• Two 60-foot-round pens
• Obstacle course
• Shady riding trails
• Pond and creek crossings
• Heated water in winter
• Four stalls available for short-term needs
• Guest tack area and restroom in arena
• Grass/Alfalfa or “diet” hay, provided twice daily.

To our great fortune, Horsemanship from the Heart calls Mill Creek Ranch home. Boarders enjoy complimentary auditing of clinics with Julie Carpenter, offered in summer and fall. Julie’s clinics typically sell out well in advance, so this is a special opportunity for those who enjoy continuing their educational journey with their horse, at no extra cost.

We also occasionally have a small, charming cabin available for visiting horse friends who’d like to stay on site.

Just held a great 2 day workshop here at Mill Creek Ranch, called, "Mountain Center Fitness - for harmony on horseback" Great people, great horses, great learning, great success!
