Indian Relay racing has been a part of the Shoshone and Bannock Tribal culture because the sport of Indian Relay racing originated here with the Shoshone and Bannock people.

The Fort Hall Indian Relay Association would like to send our deepest condolences to the Wade BirdinGround Family, the BirdinGround Relay and Little Mountain relay teams.
A respected Indian Relay participant, friend, and member of the relay community. Wade's passion for Indian Relay racing was evident every time he stepped onto the track, whether competing at Fort Hall or throughout the Indian Relay circuit.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, teammates, and all who knew and loved him during this difficult time. He will be missed on the track.
Ride high, Wade. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. 🐎
