A new chapter in All-Army Sports begins as the 2026 All‑Army Women’s Flag Football Team arrives at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, for the inaugural Armed Forces Sports Flag Football Trial Camp. Beginning Monday, July 6th, elite Soldiers from across the force will gather for two weeks of intensive evaluation, training, and team development—preparing to compete for the very first Armed Forces gold medal in women’s flag football.

This historic first team will be led by Coach SSG Lawrence Young (Fort Bragg, NC) and Assistant Coach SSG Andy Simmons (Fort Carson, CO). Their leadership, experience, and energy set the tone for a fast, disciplined, and highly competitive squad ready to make an immediate impact.

The road to history begins Monday, July 6th, as Soldiers from across the Army report to Fort Gordon, GA for the inaugural All Army Sports Men’s Flag Football Trial Camp. This marks the first year the Army fields an official All Army Flag Football Team to compete for gold at the Armed Forces Championships—an exciting milestone for Army sports and a testament to the growing talent across the force.
Over the next two weeks, the team will train, compete, and refine a winning strategy under the leadership of Head Coach SFC Laquawn Parker (USAG Hawaii) and Assistant Coach SFC Alston Jacobs (Fort Stewart, GA). Their combined experience, discipline, and passion for the sport will guide this elite group of Soldiers as they prepare for their debut on the national stage.
