I've been doing skulls for over a decade now, and I've never seen anything like this. This deer obviously suffered a serious injury that damaged his skull severely. It amazes me to think this animal survived. Look at the left side of the picture (his right antler) and see how it comes out from the side further down the skull. His brain cavity was elongated and larger on that side as well. On the back of his skull, there are all kind of extra bone growths poking out. The second picture shows a comparison of what they are suppose to look like. It always amazes me how tough these animals are!
