We’ve checked the field and there’s a bunch of standing water on it now. With a forecast showing 99% chance of rain tonight, we’ve made the decision to postpone the game in the morning.

Tomorrow was slated to be the final game of the season. So we’re going to make sure that we get that in. The long-range forecast for next Saturday looks favorable. So we’ll aim to make up the final game then.

The Lord has blessed us with good weather for baseball! We shouldn’t have any problems getting our game in tomorrow. We’ll begin at 9 AM.

We’ll see everyone at the field tomorrow morning!

The field is covered in standing water and there’s more weather on the way. We’re postponing this week’s practice and game until next weekend.

Well, the weather seems to be against us once again. But we’re going to wait until tomorrow morning to make the call about playing or not. We’ll post the status of tomorrow’s game by 7:30 in the morning. Fingers crossed that we can get it in.

We’ve looked at the field and it’s a bit muddy. With more rain coming in tonight, we think the prudent thing is to postpone tomorrow morning’s game. We regret it because we love playing ball with the kids. But we’ll get back to it next Saturday.

We’re finally on the eve of opening day for the league! The weather has cooperated this week and everything is ready to get things kicked off. We’ll start practicing and handing out uniforms at 9 AM tomorrow, then we’ll have our first game of the season at 10 AM.

Well, the field is still in rough shape and it’s going to be frigid in the morning. We don’t mind a little mud, and we don’t mind a little cold. But both at the same time is pushing it.

So we’re going to postpone our practice and game in the morning. It’s regrettable, but we have better weather coming our way. So we’ll hold out for better days.

I know everyone is wondering about opening day tomorrow. I drove by the field yesterday and it was covered with water, as you might imagine. Given that it’s rained continuously since then, and given that it’s going to keep raining until tomorrow, it seems unlikely that the field will be in playable shape for opening day.

So we’re going to postpone opening day for one week. No game tomorrow.

Now that registrations have ended, the coaches will be getting together this week and assigning players to teams. Once that’s accomplished, coaches will be reaching out to their respective team members to set up a practice schedule and answer any questions. You can expect to hear from your coach later this week or by the weekend.

We're excited to announce that registrations are now open for the 2025 Fort Gay Youth Baseball League! The link below will lead you to the online registration form:

Registration is $50 per child, which can be paid with a card online or with cash when we meet in-person.

We aim to build on the success of last year by having softball teams along with the baseball teams. If we have enough young ladies interested in playing softball, then we'll set those teams up. If we don't have enough, then we'll incorporate the ladies into the baseball teams.

Registration ends on 01-March, with practices beginning the week of the 10-March. Our first games will be on 05-April.

We look forward to what this season has in store. Let us know if you have any issues with the registration. We'll see you in a few weeks!
