As we get closer to our opening date, here are a few things to keep in mind when scheduling a guided trail ride:
* A non refundable deposit is required to schedule a guided trail ride. PayPal, Venmo or Cash only
* Guided trail rides will not be available on Monday or Tuesday
* Children must be 10 yrs and older unless they have riding experience. (Able to safely ride on their own). Special considerations may be made on a case by case basis. There may be an extra fee as well.
* Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your scheduled time.

Lucky Horse Farms is looking for an assistant trail guide to add to our crew!
REQUIREMENTS:
* must have riding experience (intermediate rider) or confident beginner
* must be comfortable with riding several different horses, with different levels of training
* must be physically able to mount from the ground, lift 50lbs and be able to walk several miles
* not afraid of dogs
* must be at least 17 yrs old
* must not work for another local barn
* must be friendly and comfortable around people
* must have a flexible schedule, days, evenings and weekends
* must have reliable transportation

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Catching, grooming and tacking up horses
* Riding along with beginners on trail rides and helping them along the way
* Untacking horses, putting away tack and equipment
* Several other farm duties, such as feeding, watering, cleaning pens, fixing fences, etc.
* Doing groundwork, assisting with roundpen work, clinics, and other farm activities

***This is not a paid position, it will be for experience and ride time only.***

This is a great opportunity for someone that seriously wants to be around horses, learn more about them and have a chance to ride.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, trail rides are very quickly winding down. It's looking like November 11th will be the last day and that is completely dependent on the weather. It's time to officially announce our newest member of the herd at Lucky Horse Farms. Junior, was born this morning around 8:30 am. Mabel is a proud mother and she is doing a great job. We were lucky enough to witness the entire birth which is pretty rare. Here are a few pictures of my beautiful bay c**t.
