Toys and games are put away, equipment shelved, inside building is cleaned, everything organized, lights are out, Recreation Summer Season has come to a close! On behalf of my staff, I want to thank everyone who participated in our program. I also want to thank the community for the confidence you place in us each year to entertain your kids throughout the summer. We enjoy this as much as your children do. As my 49th season in FE Recreation comes to an end, I cherish the fond memories and interactions with all of you. It’s still fun after all these years! Just think, in 9 months we do it again. Below is the photo of the last ones to leave the rec building after our 2026 season was completed. See you on the streets, running, walking or biking! Final night of the 2026 summer season was a busy one. Activities included kickball, basketball, football under a rainbow, pool, hide and seek, karaoke, and other tom foolery! During the 4 hour closing summer celebration, we had Ice Cream donated by Stewart’s, pizza and drinks from Pats mom and dad, and lots of other snacks. Busy the entire time. Lots of fun with amusing kids.

Tomorrow night will be the last night of the Recreation Season. We open at 5pm. There will be some snacks - usual food, ICE CREAM-donated by Stewart’s, possibly some pizza, and games, and who knows what. Come on down!

Let’s update this photo from 5 years ago. On the left, the then and still recreation director. In the middle, a participant on a Moreau field trip. On the right, a 5 year staff member, who retired and a year later came back for a short stint to help us out to fill an end of summer void. Proves one thing. Once a Rec participant, always a Rec participant!
