Echoes of Valor
In fields where poppies sway, beneath skies vast and blue, Lies a whispered legacy, carried forth by me and you. On this day of deep reflection, where reverence quietly treads, We recall the valiant souls, our stars, in celestial threads.
Across the sprawling tapestry of our nation's storied past, Each thread a life, a story, in the heart’s vault vast. From battles fought in distant lands to shores we call our own, Their courage writes the verses of the freedom hymn we’ve known.
With flags unfurled in morning light, we gather and we stand, A testament to sacrifice that guards this hallowed land. Each soldier’s tale, a sacred breath, a pause 'neath heaven's dome, In telling of their bravery, we bring their spirits home.
So let us speak of those who walked through fire yet did not yield, Whose valor forged in strife's fierce flame, became our shield. By sharing their stories, we keep alive their flame, In every heart and every word, we honor them by name.
For Memorial Day is more than just a moment we observe, It's a promise etched upon our souls, a curve Of the endless cycle of memory, honor, and respect, A chance to teach our children what we must never forget.
They lived, they loved, they laughed, they cried, they fought so we could breathe, Their tales are not just of their death, but of the life they leave. So, let’s pledge to hold them, in the light of truth and grace, And walk a path of righteousness, in their steady, guiding trace.
On this Memorial Day, as we remember those who've gone, Let’s fill our hearts with gratitude from dusk until dawn. For by the stories of these fine warriors, we keep alive their deeds, In our minds, our hearts, forever, where their valor leads.
