We know that guy on the right!

This morning, Lieutenant Roe was stopped by two incredibly helpful citizens after they spotted a dog wandering in the roadway in the 11500 block of Hwy 65. Detective Terhune also assisted on scene to help ensure the dog stayed safe until Animal Control arrived.

Jon (left) and Matt (right) saw the dog nearly struck by passing vehicles several times and didn’t hesitate to step in. They stayed with the dog and kept it safe until help could arrive, even if it meant being almost an hour late to work. That kind of compassion speaks volumes.

Animal Control is already on the job! We’re told the dog is microchipped, and they are working to obtain the registered address to locate the owner.

These gentlemen truly saved this dog’s life today.

No surprise here. Seth was in the shop every day working! Congrats kid. Hopefully the first of many.

Congratulations to Seth Parsons, as he collected his first collegiate hit in a victorious effort for Rend Lake. They are currently off to a 4-1 start to begin 2026. Best of luck to Seth and the Warriors.
