Did anyone end up with a nice winter coat that isn't theirs? Aaron Plagman (who transferred to Bravo Co right around family weekend) is missing his coat that was left behind accidentally. If you happen to have it, or know who may, please contact me ASAP. Thank you so much!

I know you must be so proud and also relieved for this stage to be over. We wish you luck as you move forward with your lives and careers in the Army.

Can you believe tomorrow your boys will receive their infantry cords?? I know you all must be so proud of your soldiers! They have worked hard for 14 long weeks and are now part of a proud brotherhood. Congratulations to all of the new Infantrymen!

I know you must all be about to burst with anticipation! Please travel safely as you begin to make your way to Fort Benning. We do have a possibility of rain at the end of the week. If the location of either event changes, I will update ASAP. Please also be aware that the bridge on Custer Road is still out. You can use the exit for Cusseta/Sand Hill off of 185 to get to Sand Hill and the Turning Blue Ceremony. For the graduation you can use the Benning Road Gate. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Guess what?? You can finally say that you'll be able to see your SIT's tomorrow AND they will officially be US Army Infantry Soldiers!!

It's over! They did it! The hardest part of OSUT is complete and your SIT's have earned their infantry cross rifles. They are probably exhausted from the last week but have accomplished so much. Next week will be dedicated to recovery and clean up. They will also be getting ready for graduation, and moving on to begin their Army careers. Congratulations to all!

Today your SIT's spent all day prepping for their big finale. FTX! This week long field training exercise will put all of their new skills and knowledge to use, and will culminate with the bayonet on Thursday night in to Friday morning. Upon completion they will be awarded their infantry cross rifles and officially be Infantrymen.
