Belvoir Bowhunters Belvoir Bowhunters is a group of hunting and target archers dedicated to developing and perpetuating archery and bowhunting programs on Fort Belvoir.

The purpose of the Club shall be to develop and perpetuate archery and bowhunting programs on Fort Belvoir; to cooperate with and assist with the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (DFMWR), Fort Belvoir in furtherance in promoting preservation of natural resources and wildlife; to promote and encourage all approaches to competitive field archery; to promote means and opportu

nity for the education of nonmembers with respect to archery and bowhunting; to require the highest standards of sportsmanship and ethical conduct in all phases of archery and bowhunting; to conduct charitable activities in the name of the Club.

3D shoot this Saturday!

Registration starts at 8. Once you are registered you can hit the course, but the shoot officially starts at 9am.

$5 for members.
$10 for non-members.

Food and drinks will be available.

It may be a hot one so be sure to bring a water bottle!

TOMORROW -Wednesday Night is our Monthly Meeting!
6/10/2026 at the Indoor Range at 6PM. After the club business portion of the meeting, interested parties will adjourn to the range for an arrow speed test session! We will bring the scales and chronographs... you just bring your bow! If you are interested in how fast your bow or crossbow setup is shooting and the associated kinetic energy and momentum, bring em in for testing! Momentum describes how much the arrow wants to keep moving forward and how difficult it is to stop. A momentum force level of .7 slugs is quoted as the necessary force required to obtain a reliable pass through on a deer. You can also use the info to set up sight tapes!

GREAT International Round today! Wow, the weather was great, the course was great, but the food was more greater! And, of course, we really came out for the people! Thanks to all our shooters who came out! Here are some pics of set up and the shoot.
