Belvoir Bowhunters

Belvoir Bowhunters Belvoir Bowhunters is a group of hunting and target archers dedicated to developing and perpetuating archery and bowhunting programs on Fort Belvoir.

The purpose of the Club shall be to develop and perpetuate archery and bowhunting programs on Fort Belvoir; to cooperate with and assist with the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (DFMWR), Fort Belvoir in furtherance in promoting preservation of natural resources and wildlife; to promote and encourage all approaches to competitive field archery; to promote means and opportunity for the education of nonmembers with respect to archery and bowhunting; to require the highest standards of sportsmanship and ethical conduct in all phases of archery and bowhunting; to conduct charitable activities in the name of the Club.

Come one; Come all to the first annual Belvoir Bowhunters Chili Cookoff at he Fort Belvoir Outdoor Recreation Center. If you want to participate you need to contact Suren Naiker, our Sargent at Arms and Master Chef, who will take your name and reserve a spot for your chili. First three places will receive trophies and prize package.

THE BIG FORT BELVOIR DEER STATISTICS AND ACORN HARVEST REPORT IS TOMORROW!

Our next meeting is tomorrow, September 9th, and this is a BIG one.

Kevin E. Walter will present on Ft. Belvoir Deer Statistics and acorn harvest. Many of you know him as the base's Natural Resource Specialist and Hunting/Fishing Program Manager.
Put it on your calendars. Non-members are welcome and are encouraged to see what we are about and consider joining. Members, bring a friend! Room is limited, and this is one of the most popular presentations of the year.

It was a great day on the range for the Belvoir Bowhunters! We had 27 shooters and several new members sign up.

Our next event is the Wild Game Dinner on August 8th. We hope to see everyone there for a fun time, good prizes, and great food!
