Happy Birthday, DBoi… Hau’oli lā hānau. 🤍
Today, I thank God not only for the gift of another year of life for my son, but for the privilege of watching the man you are becoming.
From a young age, you have walked beside me through life, through faith, through lessons, through sacrifice, and through seasons that shaped both of us. But now, as I watch you grow, I’m seeing something deeper… I’m watching you begin to walk in your own calling.
As a father, there is something powerful about seeing your son no longer just following footsteps, but beginning to make his own path one built on faith, discipline, purpose, and conviction.
I am proud of the young man you are becoming. Proud of your heart. Proud of your growth. Proud of your willingness to stand up, take responsibility, serve, lead, and continue pressing forward at such a young age. Life will continue to test you, refine you, and stretch you but I pray you never lose sight of who called you.
Like Daniel in the Bible, may you remain strong in conviction, humble in wisdom, bold in faith, and unwavering when pressure comes. Daniel stood firm when others bowed. He trusted God when circumstances were hard. He walked with discipline, wisdom, and favor and I pray that same covering over your life.
Keep walking the narrow path. Keep trusting God when the road is not always easy. Keep building the life He has called you to. What God is doing in you is only the beginning.
Keep walking in your calling, son. Stay humble, stay faithful, and keep choosing the narrow path God has set before you. I’m beyond proud of the man you are becoming, and I’ll always be grateful to stand beside you as your father.
I love you more than words can explain, and I thank God I get to watch you grow into the man He designed you to be.
