🥋 Daniel Cordeiro | Kohala, Hawaiʻi 🌺

Kohala born. Raised through Jiu-Jitsu. Now giving back to the next generation.

Daniel Cordeiro began his Jiu-Jitsu journey at just 5 years old, growing through the youth ranks under multiple-time World Champion Robson Moura.

His journey continued under his father and main professor, Professor Kahana Cordeiro, who awarded Daniel his Blue Belt, and now under multiple-time World Champion Horlando Monteiro, who promoted Daniel to Purple Belt.

Today, Daniel serves as an Instructor & Leader of Kohala Jiu-Jitsu, helping build the same community that helped shape him.

As an IBJJF competitor, Daniel has continued to test his Jiu-Jitsu on the competition stage:

🥈 2026 Honolulu International Open
🌎 2026 IBJJF World Championships — Competitor
🥇 2026 Hawaiʻi Triple Crown
🥉 2026 NAGA Open Weight
🥇 2026 NAGA
🥈 2023 IBJJF Phoenix International Open

But Daniel’s journey is about much more than medals.

It is about carrying Jiu-Jitsu forward in North Kohala and using what he has learned to help develop the next generation through discipline, confidence, perseverance, respect, and hard work.

From beginning Jiu-Jitsu as a 5-year-old boy in Kohala to now helping lead a program for the children and families of the same community, his journey has come full circle.

Above everything, God remains at the center. We believe the opportunities, the lessons, the victories, and even the challenges along the way all serve a greater purpose. Jiu-Jitsu is the vehicle, but the mission goes beyond the mats — to build character, strengthen families, develop leaders, and positively impact the next generation.

FAITH. DISCIPLINE. FAMILY. LEGACY. 🙏🏽
