The Sandwich Skate Park community is all about resilience and support, and we're counting on that now more than ever. One of our admins had a tough break, literally, with a surgery for a broken leg. We're using this time to plan something big, so bear with us. Keep the posts coming and let's get ready to roll together.
Also I want to thank the Sandwich Fire Department for the fact that they’re absolute all stars!!! They got to us quick and were super cool throughout the process. I wish I could find out the lieutenants name because he came back a couple time for other calls to check in, it was so incredible!!!

Meet your admins—Jeff and Nate 👋🏼. Friends, it is a pleasure to take over the stewardship of this page and uplift the community we hold so dear. We aren’t expert shredders, just a couple of rad dads out there doing what we love and bringing the stoke. If you see either of us at the park, come say hey! We are there a lot, but you can almost always count on seeing us there Friday mornings. Let’s keep bringing the stoke and spreading the word about the Cape shred scene 🤙🏼

I’d like to take a second to drop a harmless plug for the local shops. Without local support the action sports we all love go away. Unfortunately a lot of local shops have closed. For the few who remain we need to support them. Full disclosure I’m not a skater I ride bmx however the people at boarding house are amazing!! They always take time to talk and or answer any questions. I’m the bmx guy at bike zone so it goes without saying I try to do anything I can to get people on bmx bike’s and absolutely love talking bmx. Having that one session Friday gave me some hope that we can revitalize the love many people have for action sports at any age and with any discipline!! So if you need a skateboard or a bmx these are the places on cape to get them, they’re also within a couple miles of each other. Or even just stop in to say what’s up because the people at these shops love to talk about their sport. Let’s support local!!

Alright, so I was watching the news recently and heard someone say skateparks are “for kids.”

We here say NAYYY.

My best friend and I have been riding the park as much as humanly possible in the mornings. Since we’re both dads, we officially declared it Rad Dad Hour.

But let’s open that up: Rad Dads, Rad Moms, cool humans, former skaters, new riders, rusty riders, never-even-stepped-on-a-board people, BMX, scooters, blades, skateboards, all of it.

Come hang. Come ride. Come learn. Come drink coffee and pretend stretching fixed everything. No pressure, no ego, no “you’re too old for this” nonsense.

I’m down there most mornings pretty early, and if this catches on, I’d love to make it a regular thing!!
Mornings, 9-ish to whenever.
Show up. Bring wheels. Or just bring coffee.
