3D Movement and Rehab Providing mobile concierge Physical Therapy in your home, office or sports arena in Lynchburg, VA. Injuries from sporting activities are devastating.

We provide mobile physical Therapy for Lynchburg and Bedford, VA. They can leave us frustrated with not being able to still participate in our favorite sport. They cause shame as injuries result in us no longer being able to participate in activities with our kids, family and friends. Often times people will deny their injury and push through it but it only gets worse and becomes even more debilit

ating. I go to where ever my clients are; their home, office, or court/field to empower them to take back control of their injury. By providing an effective and specific rehab program, our clients can quickly return to the joy of playing their sport and with their kids. I help them find ways to feel fit and fulfilled with an alternative exercise routine while they are injured so they can maintain their happiness and sanity in the meantime. I help active adults continue to be happy active adults again.

Caleb came to us with back pain and dizziness after seeing other specialists with no results. During his evaluation, we found there to not be any typical causes of dizziness, instead, we found severe thoracic spine stiffness. For a golfer thoracic spine stiffness is going to negatively impact their game, making it really hard to get a full windup and follow through on their stroke And it's going to put excessive stress on the neck as the golfer tries to compensate for this.

After 2 weeks of focusing on improving the mobility of his thoracic spine with rotational based activities, the dizziness was gone. After 6 weeks Caleb noticed he was standing up taller and feeling better after golfing 18 holes. After 8 weeks Caleb noticed his back didn't hurt anymore after golfing and he was hitting the ball further as his stroke felt smoother with both the windup and the follow-through.

This is what we talk about all the time with the cause of people's problem Oftentimes not being where the pain or discomfort is coming from. Kill about a great low back and great cervical mobility but these areas we're having to compensate for the stiffness in his thoracic spine. Many would look at this as instability when in fact it was instability brought on by hypomobility of a different area.

We're super excited to see Caleb have a great golf season this fall!

At 3D Movement and Rehab were regularly asked "what's your favorite coffee exercise?" The answer always depends on the sport the athlete or patient is training for.

For dance one of our favorite core strengthening exercises is the hollow body roll, now affectionately known as the "rollie pollies". The focus of this exercise is to own the hollow body position in both flexion and extension of the spine while rolling. It targets all of the abdominal muscles, the obliques, and the paraspinal muscles to help improve a dancers trunk stability.

A big thank you goes out to the dancers at Dance Music Creations for sweating with us as we got after some higher level strengthening exercises in the final week of our summer strength and stretch classes together.

Testimonial Tuesday is back! We want to say a big thank you to Gigi Davis for writing a glowing review! Gigi is a fantastic dancer and trains hard to be her best. We first met Gigi when she was struggling with chronic knee pain after falling and bruising it. We were able to help her get rid of the pain via dry needling, restore motion with cupping and train her to back stronger than ever for her dancing Dance Music Creations

We love watching our patients and athletes chase their dreams!

We love helping runners return to running, but we knew this patient would need more. Katelyn came to us with runner's knee, patella femoral pain syndrome, and we created a plan together to not just get back to running but so much more. She had to return to ROTC at Liberty University and that meant more endurance, more strength, and more adaptability to handle everything military training could throw at her along with the deadline of competing in ROTC competitions against other schools.

From day one of her therapy we put in place a plan to help her knee heal as fast as possible and strengthen her whole body so she could handle the grueling demands of ROTC. Each session progressed and adapted her strengthening progressions to get her ready. She absolutely crushed her goals with a trophy to show for it!

Big thanks to Dance Music Creations for hosting us to teach this week's strength and stretch class. This week we implemented the 2nd phase of exercises progressing flexibility and strength throughout their body. The girls here also brought the fun as it is beach spirit day. These exercise progressions will help the dancers take their training and performance to a new level and stay healthy through their intense training.
