🌟 How long have you been doing crossfit - athletic background before CF.
I’ve been doing CrossFit for about six years and started when I was 11 years old. I danced for most of my life and played a little soccer as well. I continued dancing for my first couple years of CrossFit, but CrossFit quickly became my favorite thing to do.
🌟 Favorite type of workout.
Honestly, I don’t really have one favorite type of workout, but I’ve started to really enjoy intervals and sprint-style workouts lately. I love a good bike and burpee workout- my favorite combo and movements to suffer through 😂
🌟 Favorite benchmark workouts.
Girl WOD: Helen. Technically, I don’t love Helen, but I’ve grown so much in my pull-up strength, and doing that workout has shown me just how much I’ve improved over time, which has been really special. I’d also say I’ve developed a big appreciation for Nancy.
Hero WOD: This is a tough one because I don’t feel like I’ve done enough Hero WODs to have a true favorite. But if I had to choose one, I’d say Murph. It’s been a family tradition for years, so it holds a special place in my heart ❤️
🌟 Advice to someone thinking about CrossFit.
It might feel new, uncomfortable, or even a little scary at first, but trust me, you’ll meet lifelong friends who are there to support you, not judge you. CrossFit has taught me more about life than almost anything else. It doesn’t just teach you how to be physically fit and healthy. It teaches you lessons that carry over into everyday life as well.
It’s truly a big part of the reason I am where I am today, and I hope it can be the same for so many other people. So as scary as it may feel at first, I’ve never heard someone regret trying it. And the best part is that every workout can be tailored to benefit you personally. That’s what CrossFit is all about- giving you a challenge that’s right for you, not anybody else.
