It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear spiritual leader and teacher Dr. René David Alkalay Z'L. Dr. Alkalay founded the Genesis Society over 25 years ago as an integrative health center designed to offer health and healing services to our community members. We are so grateful for the gifts and wisdom of his teachings. We look forward to the gathering of our beloved community to celebrate René David's life. The funeral service for René David will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Schwartz Brothers-Jeffer Memorial Chapels, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 685 Fairview Ave, Fairview, NJ 07022.

Weekly meditation groups sponsored by Genesis Tree of Life Yoga. Our Thursday evening meditation group which meets at 7:30 pm eastern time (NY) includes healing visualization, mantra meditation and gematria/kabbalah. This is not suitable for absolute beginners; some background in gematria and kabbalah is needed. There is never a fee for our meditation groups. Donations are gratefully accepted but not a requirement for participation. For more of our meditation days and times go to .genesistreeoflife.com and check our schedule. We also include a presentation on a subject from the Kabbalistic tradition during our monthly kirtan. If this is of interest, please subscribe to our newsletter for updates. There is no fee to attend our kirtan. However, if you are attending live, the price of admission is that you bring a vegan dish that can feed a few people.
