πŸ‘πŸΎ Congratulations to our Woodland Hills Athletic Department and Athletic Director Ty Brown!

Being named a 2026 NIAAA Quality Program Assessment recipient β€” and the first WPIAL school to receive this honor β€” is something our entire Woodland Hills community can be proud of! πŸ’™πŸ–€

Proud to be part of an athletic program that continues to set the standard.

Congratulations, Mr. Brown and the entire Woodland Hills Athletics team! πŸΊπŸ†

Athletic director Ty Brown has long believed Woodland Hills has the best athletic department in the country. He's shared that sentiment at awards ceremonies, in meetings with students, and in conversations with parents.

Now he has additional support to back that claim.

The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association has selected the Woodland Hills athletic department as 2026 NIAAA Quality Program Assessment recipient. The NIAAA conducts a rigorous process to identify, recognize, and commend school athletic programs that demonstrate excellence in the implementation and administration of high school athletics.

The NIAAA will formally recognize Mr. Brown and the athletic department during a special ceremony on Monday, December 14 during the school day. According to a list of past QPA recipients on the NIAAA website, Woodland Hills is the first WPIAL school to receive the prestigious honor.

πŸ€ Another Successful Woodland Hills Youth Basketball Camp is in the books! πŸ€

What an incredible four days of learning, growth, and fun!

A huge thank you to all of our campers and their families for spending part of your summer with us. We loved watching our future Wolverines work hard, improve their skills, compete, encourage one another, and build friendships on and off the court.

Thank you to Coach Scorp, our coaching staff, and our Woodland Hills players for investing their time, energy, and leadership into the next generation of Wolverines.

Congratulations to all of our award winners, and thank you to every camper who brought a great attitude and gave their best effort throughout the week.

We can’t wait to see everyone back in the gym this season.

Woody vs. Woody is always serious business πŸ˜€πŸ€

This weekend, some of our guys formed their own squad β€” Koolaid Jammer Elite β€” and jumped into tournament action against a team coached by Coach Scorp.

They came ready to compete… but Coach Scorp’s squad got the win this round πŸ‘€πŸ˜‚

We love seeing our guys competing, leading, coaching each other, and staying in the gym. This is what building a program looks like.

Due to poor road conditions in the area and power outages throughout the district, including two schools, central office, and many street lights down, the Woodland Hills School District will be operating on an asynchronous remote learning day for Tuesday, March 17.

Learning activities will occur asynchronously and student work will be posted online in their Google Classrooms.

Tuesday's afternoon activities will proceed as scheduled. Please look for correspondence from your coach or director for more information on each activity.

Thank you,
