‼️Update on Opening Timing Following State Inspection June 13th‼️
We’re reaching out to share an important update following our state inspection. Unfortunately, the facility did not pass inspection due to an issue with the front gate. We understand how disappointing this news is, especially given the anticipation around opening, and we share in that frustration.
To answer the question we’ve heard from many of you: How was the gate not in scope? How was this missed? Why didn’t you catch this? What is the Board doing? The main front gate entrance to the pool was inspected when we reconstructed the baby pool and we passed inspection at that time. The pool/and facility have been inspected many times through the construction process, and this was not noted. Had it been noted, it would have been addressed.
It is important to note that all elements of the new pool, the updates to the pump house did pass the inspection.
The inspector cited the front gate for not closing and latching automatically on its own despite our entrance having a manned attendant.
We asked for a number of accommodations to be able to open. These were all rejected.
At this time, we are adding a gate per inspection findings.
Now we must submit a new plan with the gate alterations. It will be submitted to the state and an addition inspection will be scheduled.
Like many steps/processes in construction and inspections, we can NOT guarantee a timeline.
We anticipate mid-week approval, and are doing everything to expedite the process.

While we have made every attempt at transparency, we know there is always room for improvement. The Board has held emergency meetings focused on managing immediate operational issues. We will be reviewing all member input more fully at our next regular meeting. Following that discussion, we reach out to those who have contacted us.
