What a great night at Marshfield for our first race! Lots of medals. Adia 3rd, Nylia 19th, Eric 13th, Isaac 14th, Malik 20th.

It was a fun night with the best kids. Principia college came to watch & talk to runners, including ours. Waylon led a prayer in Wendy's afterward with the Lebanon team. He has the biggest heart.

Speaking of the Lebanon team, they decided to eat outside with the lonely old guy. It was Joey! 😆 Then Fordland & Lebanon came together to talk running & enjoy dinner.

The days get long during season, but then we have nights like these that make it all worth it. ❤️💙💛

I should have gotten more pictures this week. It's been a great first couple of weeks of practice. Next week will be tough, but these kids are tougher. They are putting in the miles & being great humans. Most of the volunteers helping at meet the teacher night tonight were Cross country runners. They are the best!

If you saw some random weirdos, I mean athletes, running around town this morning taking pictures of random things, it was just the cross country team scavenger hunt. Foreign cars, oak leaves, civil war headstones, fish, farm animals, throwing away litter, the list goes on & on. This is always a fun day & they still get in the miles.

It's been a fun first week with a great group. I have the most dedicated runners. We run in the morning & many of them head off to work afterward, one on a full time construction crew. We have the absolute best kids!

(Remember, a have practice tomorrow morning same time, same place.)

It's that time of year again. Please keep an eye out for our Fordland Cross Country kids as they practice & prepare for a great season. We will be on the road weekday mornings between 6 & 8am. Thank you for driving safely & watching out for our kids.

Parents, I sent out a few texts today after I checked the physicals list that Nurse Jen has. The kids must have a current physical before starting practice, no exception.
