This weekend didn’t end with the placing I had hoped for, but it gave me something even more valuable. The experience, perspective, and a whole new level of motivation. It’s exactly what I needed to light the fire.
I walked away with 4th place in both Women’s Bikini Open Class A and Women’s Bikini Novice A, and while I’m naturally competitive and always want more I am proud of what this prep taught me. Every show exposes your strengths and your weaknesses. I know exactly what I need to improve before I step on stage again. More glute development, better conditioning in key areas, and posing that truly showcases the work I’ve put in.
Most importantly, I want to thank my husband, coach, and biggest supporter, Zack. ❤️
Thank you for believing in me even when I questioned myself daily. Thank you for every every late night workout session, every workout you pushed me through, every pep talk when prep got hard. Coaching your spouse isn’t easy but you’ve never stopped showing up for me even when you do threaten to fire me as a client.
This sport isn’t just about lifting weights or following a meal plan. It’s about discipline, consistency, sacrifice, and trusting the process even when the outcome isn’t exactly what you envisioned.
We’ll make the adjustments. We’ll grow. We’ll come back better in November.
The work starts again today. My cheat meal weekend is over and it’s time to build for 6 weeks until my next cut starts. 💪🏆
