Every hear someone say, "I saw red. I blacked out. I went crazy"?

Look closely at the people who lose control in a fight. The cuts and bruises. The lost tooth. The damage they took while swinging blindly.

Muay Thai teaches the opposite.

As violent as the sport can be, the mind must stay calm. A fighter who stays present can read every movement, make adjustments, and execute with precision.

In Thai, they call it jai yen - "cool heart"

That's how a true Nak Muay survives battle: cool heart, quiet mind.

Start your week with the right mindset!
The goal isn't to be perfect. The goal is to be better than you were yesterday. Take your time, be curious, and soak in all the information you can. You'll look up years from now and realize that every minute you spent training, every technique you tried to land, and every question you asked was well worth it.

This Saturday, we took Keilly and Sebastian out to the beautiful La Jolla Marriot in San Diego for their amateur debuts....

This Saturday, we took Keilly and Sebastian out to the beautiful La Jolla Marriot in San Diego for their amateur debuts. Each fighter showed great heart, tenacity, and vigor as they fought their battles. In the end, Keilly took home the win by Majority Decision, while Sebastian lost by Split Decision.

While wins are always nice, the more important bit to us is that our fighters are consistently challenged to evolve. A win isn't as satisfying when your opponent gives it to you. A loss isn't as devastating if you know you gave them a good fight. Both Keilly and Sebastian put up strong, hard-fought performances, and we are so proud!

Thank you to Big Troy and everyone who played a part in this beautifully-run event. Stay tuned for their next bouts! This definitely won't be their last!
