On the left is 3rd place and on the right is 6th place.
The difference was not the trophy I earned in 3rd place that I did not achieve in 6th place. The difference was the life lessons I learned behind the experience of both shows. In my 6th place show, I learned the value of team with Team Am Gifted. In my 3rd place show I learned that you should work to get better for yourself and not for the reward. In addition I learned to always finish what I start. A few times I was going to postpone due to some life changes. During prep for this show I acquired a new classroom with some very troubled kids. It was a big switch because now I deal with gang members, teen mothers, victims of sexual abuse. The list goes on, but I was very stressed and sad at the same time. I knew I needed this show to help with stress levels and health. I continued to press forward because our Coach Auwana Brown is a fighter and she puts that fight in her athletes! I am forever grateful!
