Fond du Lac Soccer Association

Fond du Lac Soccer Association Fond du Lac Soccer Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization that offers soccer programs to more than 1,700 players.

Founded in 1974, FDLSA now includes 120 recreational, 14 competitive league, and 12 adult league teams, as well as an academy program In 1974, a very special meeting took place. A small group of soccer enthusiasts decided to start a soccer club. This group of soccer pioneers had no idea what their little meeting would start. In 1974 the membership was capped at 125 players and the ages ranged from

8 to 16. The youth soccer numbers were steady throughout the 80's and early 90's at about 350 players. With the youth growth, the need for more fields became evident. A group of businessman came up with a plan for the current soccer complex located behind Moraine Park Technical College. In 1999 the Soccer Association, with the help of the Fond du Lac School District, provided the community with a lighted premier soccer field.

🏆 TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS! 🏆

An incredible start to the season! The girls went undefeated through four games, outscoring their opponents 15–5 while showing tremendous growth, confidence, and teamwork.

They capped off the weekend with a thrilling shootout victory, as goalkeeper Rowan Hart came up with two massive saves!

Our Fondy Phoenix U11 Boys came ready to compete and are bringing home the Foot of the Lake Fall Kickoff Championship!

With the title on the line and the final match going to an extended penalty shootout, these boys showed tremendous determination, teamwork, and nerves of steel to secure the win! 🖤❤️

We’re incredibly proud of the heart, hustle, and resilience they displayed all weekend. This is only the beginning!

🥈 FALL KICKOFF FINALISTS! 🥈

The Fondy Phoenix U12 Girls put together an impressive weekend at the FCGB Fall Kickoff, winning their group and finishing second overall!

The girls played with intensity, poise, and purpose, combining crisp passing with terrific team defense. They allowed just two goals in three games, while outstanding goalkeeping helped lift them to a well-deserved finals appearance.

Our Fondy Phoenix U18 Girls delivered a dominant performance at the Foot of the Lake Fall Kickoff, finishing the weekend undefeated and allowing just one goal on their way to the title! Incredible effort, focus, and teamwork from start to finish.

Drew Cowden joins Fondy Phoenix as Assistant Director of Coaching & Technical Director where he will support the club’s player and coach development efforts while also leading teams within the program. He holds a U.S. Soccer D License and brings experience in collegiate coaching, athletic administration, and player development.

Originally from Washington state, Drew currently serves as Marian University’s Assistant Director of Athletic Enrollment and is entering his third season as an assistant coach with the men’s soccer program. Before college, he earned four varsity letters at Lindbergh High School and Kentwood High School, served as a team captain, and helped his club team win State Cup and Surf Cup championships.

As a player at Marian, Drew earned four All-NACC selections, along with All-Wisconsin and CSC Academic All-District honors. He finished his career ranked third in program history with 24 assists and tied for 10th in career scoring. Drew holds a degree in Sport and Recreation Management and brings strong leadership, valuable experience, and a passion for developing athletes to his new role.
