Welcome Mat Judo Club Judo is a martial arts like sport focusing on balance and leverage to throw the opponent on their back and/or pin them.

Judo trains ones control over mind and body. Which is useful in all aspects of life and can and greatly to other sports as well. Located in Fond du Lac, WI, the Welcome Mat is a competition oriented Judo club founded by Brett Wood-Taylor.

As everyone knows the numbers of Judoka are decreasing, making it more and more difficult to run local Judo events like Santa's Shiai. Our registration numbers have been dropping the last two years, making it more difficult to fill out brackets with as many participants as everyone would like.

To enhance your Santa's experience we have added Nick Delpopolo, USA Olympian and instructor to hold a clinic before the tournament. Nick will bring his vast experience and enthusiasm at no added cost to you. The clinic is included with your $50 registration fee. If no other participants are available for you to fight at the tournament, we will refund half the registration fee through Paypal. That makes the clinic only $25! Note" we have removed the late registration fees. Hope to see you there!!
