This is from fitmethods, I just had to repost this.... And remember, if you need help with accountability I'm here to help you. All you need to do is to set up a time to discuss personal training and make an appointment on the calendar to get started. You'll thank me!
1970 vs 2026 is actually wild 🍔➡️📈
Back then, obesity affected about 1 in 7 adults. Today, it’s nearly 1 in 2. The average American man weighs around 30 lbs more, women around 25 lbs more than in the 70s.
Portions got bigger. Steps disappeared. Ultra-processed foods went from a small part of the diet to the majority of calories people eat daily.
It’s not just “lack of discipline.” We built a world around convenience, screens, cars, oversized portions, and food engineered to keep us eating. Genetics didn’t change in 50 years — the environment did.
Crazy how fast “bigger” became normal.
The good news? Small habits still matter:
more walks 🚶♂️
more real food 🥗
less processed junk 🍟
