Folsom Lake SRA Seasonal Lifeguard tryouts are coming up!

2026 Lifeguard Tryout Dates:
Saturday, April 25th
Saturday, May 16th
**All tryouts will be held at the Granite Bay Main Beach at 10am.

Tryout Requirements :
-Complete a competitive 1,000 yard open water swim in under 20 minutes
-Consecutive 200 yard run, 400 yard swim, 200 yard run in under 10 minutes

If you are under the age of 18 a parent/guardian must be present.

Minimum Job Requirements:
🪪Valid Driver’s License
🏊Strong swimming ability

Starting Pay: $21.29-$23.59/hour

We hope you can join us this summer for Junior Lifeguards at Folsom Lake! Please see below for important dates.

🚨Registration will open April 4th at 8 am through ReserveCalifornia.com

🏊Tryouts will be held for new participants on May 6th and 7th.

☀️Session 1 will run Monday-Friday 9am-2pm June 8th - July 2nd at Black Miners Bar.

☀️Session 2 will run Monday-Friday 9am-2pm July 6th-31st at Black Miners Bar.

The last two weeks for the fall session included a lot of medical skills (including CPR, splinting, bleeding control, treating shock, and how to backboard a patient), we also practiced interviewing skills, and ended with kayaking on Lake Natoma.
