🙋‍♀️ PaddleSplash Needs YOU! And yes…we will feed you. 😋

PaddleSplash weekend is almost here, and we could use a few more helping hands — on land AND on the water!

And because volunteers should not survive on gratitude alone…

Now, about the actual volunteering…

💪 SETUP + TEAR DOWN CREWS
Full disclosure: we can’t park our gear trailer down on the beach, so everything has to make its way **down the ramp…and eventually back UP the ramp. 😅

We’ll have carts to help, and the trailer will be organized so the things we need immediately — race buoys and setup gear — come out first, followed by the rest. More hands = lighter work!

🛶 ON-WATER RACE CREW — KAYAKERS, WE WANT YOU TOO!
You absolutely do not have to be on a SUP to help. Our kayak friends are perfect for this!

On-water volunteers will help keep recreational paddlers clear of the course as racers head toward the bridge, mark some of the shallow areas and generally help us keep everyone headed in the right direction.

Bring your SUP or kayak, wear your PFD, and you’ve got one of the best volunteer seats in the house. 🌊

☕ AND THEN THERE’S THE COFFEE JOB.
Pick up the coffee.
Bring it to the beach.
Become everyone’s favorite volunteer.

Possibly the easiest path to PaddleSplash hero status. 😂

Whether you can give us a couple of hours, help with a race, haul some gear or simply make sure the caffeine arrives safely, we’d love to have you on the PaddleSplash crew!

Unlike our good ol’ July PaddleSplash days, we’re keeping an eye on potential wind and rain. Course adjustments may be necessary if Mother Nature decides she wants a say in race weekend.

11-year-old set to paddle 72 miles around Lake Tahoe, raises funds for Truckee Donner Land Trust

Can’t make it to Lake Natoma September 11–13? You can still support PaddleSplash from wherever you are. If you’re already signed up for another race that weekend, simply use that race as your Virtual PaddleSplash qualifier—one race, two ways to support the paddling community!

Virtual registration is just $40, and every entry helps support NorCal SUP’s youth paddling programs, water-safety education and scholarships. It also helps demonstrate that PaddleSplash has a strong community of supporters well beyond Northern California.
