To our Okefenokee family:
As many of you know Okefenokee Sportsman has been a part of this community for a long time. After much thought, we want to share we will be closing our doors at the end of this month.
We are incredibly grateful for our loyal, returning customers - the ones who come back year after year, brought their friends and family, just stopped in to talk, brought me breakfast and something to drink..because apparently running on coffee and mountain dew is not acceptable. More than all...made this place feel like a second home. We're thankful for every conversation, every laugh, and especially all the stories shared here across the counter- the mess of fish caught, the big buck that you'll get next year, all memories that will stick with us.
Okefenokee Sportsman has been more than a business. Its been a gathering spot, a history and memory holder, a pull a stool up and have a chat with me, whether it be laughing or crying, I have seen and held all forms of conversations from across this counter.
We would like to add that we have a large collection of old photographs from over the years. Please feel free to come look through them and if you recognize family members or friends, your welcome to take them home.
Thank you for everyone who supported us, and trusted us. We will always be thankful for this community and friendships that came with it.
- Megan, Cody, the kiddos 💚
