South Walton Hawks Softball

Softball is the focus, but our goal is to grow well rounded athletes and leaders in the community.
8U – 12U Player development is our primary goal.

The South Walton Hawks softball team is based out of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and was created to give girls in Walton County and surrounding areas exposure to a higher level of softball and prepare them for the upper level sports and beyond. We expose our athletes to opportunities and coaching that will set them up for successful scholastic sports careers. The Hawks play in USSSA or USFA Fastpitch tou

rnaments. Most tournaments are on Saturdays and are played in NW Florida, South Alabama, Louisiana, and South Georgia. Playing with two organizations helps minimize travel and offers more opportunities for competition. Practices are structured and physically demanding at times to push the players to reach outside their athletic comfort zone. We don't lose sight that our girls need to enjoy what we're doing so we find time for fun. The Hawks Softball team’s practices are held at the South Walton Athletic Complex (Dune Lakes) and Helen McCall Park in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

Hope all the softball dads had a great Fathers Day weekend!! Our 13u team made it extra special by winning the 14u Championship in Dothan, Alabama yesterday. Great Job Ladies! It was a great weekend…. And special shout out to Ryleigh Pittman for hitting her first OTF Home Run. It was a Bomb!! Way to go…

Our girls played in their first 14u tournament of the season yesterday in Moultrie, GA. They were undefeated allowing zero runs going into the Championship. They lost in the ship by one run in extra innings, but went down fighting with runners in scoring position. Great start to the season Ladies!!
