Tonight, our season came to an end, but what an incredible journey it has been with 17 wins and only 4 losses.

They battled through challenges, celebrated victories, learned from setbacks, and represented Floyd County with pride every step of the way. While the final score wasn’t the ending we hoped for, it does not define this season or the young women who wore the black and gold.

To our players, thank you for trusting the process, supporting one another, and leaving everything you had on the field. To our parents, families, students, and community, thank you for your unwavering support all season long. The Lady Buffs are blessed to have such an amazing community behind them.

The scoreboard may say our season is over, but the lessons, friendships, and pride we share will remain forever.

Once a Lady Buff, always a Lady Buff. 🖤💛🥎

🔥Lilly Gillispie🔥

One of the most dangerous bats in Virginia softball belongs to Floyd County’s Lilly Gillespie. 🥎🔥

The Lady Buffalo standout finished the season ranked 5th in the VHSL in Slugging Percentage, posting an incredible 1.357 SLG while consistently delivering big hits and extra-base power throughout the year.

The Junior has already committed to Radford University. The future Highlander has proven herself as one of Southwest Virginia’s top hitters and a major piece of Floyd County’s success this season.

Big-time season. Big-time future. 💣
