A big congratulations to Cooper Carlyle on his second tournament win of the summer. Word is the young man hit a 295 yard drive into a par 4 en route to his victory. We’ve been talking a lot about self belief recently. When you have such high potential the world will always try to tell you to dream smaller. This young man is certainly not lacking in talent. His confidence is growing and it’s manifesting in his game. Whatever you set your mind to will manifest in reality. This concept applies to golf and in life and is based in the physics of how reality operates. I was fist pumping as if I won the Masters when I received the test from his Dad. So excited to continue to develop with my students as we grow and learn together.

New addition to the family last week! Gave me a chance to revisit some of my old songs and started giving birth to some news ones. The music is definitely alive in this one. It was a love at first listen. The sound of this guitar is concise, kind, and human. Very much in the midrange and doesn’t compete with my voice. Music is a big part of my life that helps balance out my golf brain so I’m hoping this instrument helps bring more of that into my life. Been 3 and half years without an acoustic since moving to Texas, it’s a joy and a relief.

One of the biggest challenges in golf is multi-tasking so many different pieces to create a good golf swing. Traditional golf instruction is very difficult because it requires the brain to do a lot of multi-tasking. My method of teaching can deliver a new swing and ball flight in just 20 minutes because the swing is learned as one fluid motion, not in individual parts.

Golf is a sport in which you always have the ability to think for yourself and make your own decisions. It’s cool our vets are learning a sport that embodies the philosophies they protected. I was happy to share my knowledge of the game with our Nation’s veterans and it was an honor to get to know them.
