Here’s some unpopular truth. 😬

1. Your kid is watching you more than listening to you. What they see you do is what they’ll do.
2. “I’m too busy” is a sentence your body will eventually finish for you — just not the way you planned.
3. You don’t have to love working out. You have to love your kid enough to do it anyway.
4. Comfort is not the same as care. Keeping them still, screen-fed, and sedentary is not rest — it’s slow damage.
5. The energy your child has right now is a gift. Inactivity is how you return it unopened.
6. You are not protecting them from hard things by keeping life easy. You’re just making sure the first hard thing breaks them.
7. Your kid doesn’t need a perfect parent. They need a present one — present in your body, not just in the room.
8. Every sport, class, or walk you skip teaches them that movement is optional. And optional things get dropped.
9. You cannot pour discipline, resilience, or confidence into a child you’re raising on convenience.
10. It’s not too late. But it’s also not getting earlier. Start today — not for you, for them.

Happiness rarely comes from things being easy. You might get a sense of pleasure when things are easy.

Happiness is really born from labor, pains of difficulty, struggle, and suffering.

The reason is because you’ve gotten to the other side of it and you realize that you’re stronger than you thought.

I had the opportunity to go be at PE teacher for a day. And boy does my heart go out to school teachers, and the amount of weight on their shoulders.

What a lot of people don’t know is that if a teacher has 25 students in the class, the teacher has to find 25 different ways to teach a subject or a problem because everyone learns differently. Not only that but they have to constantly make adjustments day-to-day.

Now they also have the responsibility of all the red tape that state and federal policies put on them and constrain them to when it comes to what they teach, how they teach and what they have to get done by the end of a school year.

If that’s not hard enough now, teachers also have to teach discipline, social behavior, they have to mentor, they have to be a therapist, a counselor and be a third parent.

It was completely obvious today which kids have parents who are intentional about raising them. And then those who either have no clue, or are unsure, or don’t care.

Parents we need to do better. Do you want a society to change? Don’t look at our political system or who runs it. Look at our kids.

The world only changes based upon the leadership that we give at home.

100%! Parents we can lead! We can do this. Kids can reach standards. But they can’t reach standards that aren’t set for them. We can’t expect active healthy kids if what they see as an example is someone sitting on a couch in the sedentary lifestyle. We can’t expect our kids to lead if they’ve never seen us show how to lead. We can’t expect our kids to be hard-working if they’re not seeing us as hard workers. There’s a curriculum that teachers have to follow for our kids to reach certain levels of education. But when it comes to life education and a life curriculum, we are that for our kids. Don’t take for granted the responsibility to build our kids into something. Don’t place that responsibility in the hands of somebody else. You may not like the result that you get. Raise the kids in a way that you like them. Raise your kids in a way that you know is going to help them. And if you’re unsure then that’s where you request more information. That’s where you do your research. That’s where you continue to grow yourself. Mom’s and Dad’s we can do this! Let’s go!!! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Your kids will one day describe the kind of father you were.
Make sure it’s a good story. 👇
Here are 9 things every dad needs to do to set their child up for success:
1️⃣ Show up consistently — not just for the big moments. The ordinary days are what they remember.
2️⃣ Let them struggle — then stay close. Your job isn’t to remove the hard. It’s to be there through it.
3️⃣ Speak life over them daily — what a child hears from their father becomes the voice in their head for life.
4️⃣ Model the behavior you want to see — they’re not listening to your words nearly as much as they’re watching your life.
5️⃣ Teach them how to lose — because how they handle failure will define them far more than how they handle winning.
6️⃣ Put the phone down — presence is the most powerful gift you can give. They know when you’re halfway there.
7️⃣ Hug them and mean it — especially your sons. Strong fathers raise emotionally secure kids.
8️⃣ Hold the standard — love them unconditionally AND hold the bar high. Those two things aren’t opposites.
9️⃣ Remind them who they are — on the hard days especially. Identity built at home is armor they wear everywhere. Your kids aren’t looking for a perfect dad.
They’re looking for a present one. 🐉
