if you note the verse refers to when your child gets older. Then actually presumes that they’re gonna be stringing from it a lot in their youth.

It’s a hard job to hold that line and create the boundary so that later in our lives, they maintain it.

This is what intentional parenting looks like.

This is what gentle parenting sounds like…

A kid is destroying something
And the parents says, “don’t worry everyone, she’ll calm down…”

What a parent needs to do is pick up that kid restrain them. Take him out to the car sit them down where they can scream and shout in there.

But at the same time, you need to let them know, there are still rules and behaviors that are required.

You can be upset, but you can’t destroy things. That is unacceptable.

This dad taught his daughter nothing by letting her just wail and out like that.

Flower Mound Parents, if there is an issue you are running into and you know deep down it’s not right do the research and solve it now. It may be inconvenient to your schedule right now, but a rebellious and disobedient adult will be more inconvenient to you later.

Dragon Claw Academy of kung fu we promote and emphasize taking care of the hard things now so that life doesn’t teach us the hard lessons later.

Most parents don’t know how to apologize. Most parents don’t know how to admit fault because of pride and not wanting their kids to see their fallenness.

What are the biggest things we can do as parents is model how to apologize, how to take responsibility and how to reconcile.

Our kids actually will develop a greater understanding of relationship building as well as how to offer that scene thing to other people and then their future families.

Life is a rough teacher. It doesn’t care about feelings, or about teaching methods or about how you feel!

There’s nothing “gentle” or caring.

But there’s one thing that life lessons produce…you learn fast!

Flower Mound Parents! Don’t be quick to save. If your kid forget something, let them deal with the consequences.
Because you’re not gonna be there their entire lives to save them from their mistakes.

This also teaches them responsibility, autonomy, and emotional resilience.

In proverbs it says that from the heart our tongue speaks.

In classes last week we talked about the importance of “guarding our hearts” and what that looks like.

We spoke about sowing and reaping. And planting positive seed in our hearts will yield positive results.

This is a great example.

At the end of the day, our words can’t build belief for our kids.

The belief that they need has to be in themselves and their ability.

And the only way for that to happen is to give them opportunities where they either fail or they overcome.

A Dragon Claw Academy of kung fu or success formula is “try, fail, adjust, repeat”!

I always tell my students the number one thing I want them to take from me even if they don’t remember my name or where they studied. Their martial arts is “resilience.”

The world needs a generation of resilient kids.
