Taking responsibility for actions

FANTASTIC QUINCY! Quincy The Weather Kid

Student Athlete Recognition Continues


Mom says “My son, Quincy “The Weather Kid,” is 9 years old and a red first-belt in taekwondo! He has competed in three local competitions, earning first- and second-place awards in poomsae and board breaking. He is also a straight-A student and loves reporting the local weather!”

Yes!! The Next Bruce LeRoy! We love it!
Mom make sure he watches The Last Dragon, it will change his life! Also we have a guest weather reporter spot for him for exposure.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate my 6th Degree Black Belt Presentation.
Whether you attended in person, called, sent a text, emailed, commented, or reached out in any way, I truly appreciate all of the love and support. It meant more to me than I can put into words.

Looking around the room and seeing students, families, alumni, instructors, and friends from so many different chapters of my life reminded me that this achievement isn't mine alone. It's the result of years of learning from great mentors, teaching amazing students, and being surrounded by an incredible Taekwondo family.
Thank you for celebrating with me and for allowing me to do what I love every single day. I'm excited for what's ahead, and I look forward to continuing to grow alongside all of you.

One of my favorite parts of belt testing has nothing to do with kicking or forms.

Before every test, our parents score their child on how they've been doing at home. Things like listening, respect, responsibility, attitude, and effort.

The reason we do it is simple.

If a student is getting better at Taekwondo but it's not showing up at home, then we're missing the point.

Belts aren't just earned by learning techniques. They should represent growth as a person too. We want our students becoming kids their parents are proud to be around, not just students who can kick high.

These students earned a perfect 25/25 from home before testing, and that's a huge accomplishment. It means their hard work is being noticed where it matters most.
