Why is strength training so important for women? Did you know….

Women generally begin to experience a gradual loss of muscle mass, known as sarcopenia, starting in their mid-30s or early 40s. The rate which muscle mass declines can vary depending on various factors, including hormonal changes, physical activity levels, and overall health. Regular exercise, particularly strength training, along with a balanced diet, can help slow down muscle loss and maintain muscle mass as women age. We need to strength train to build muscle as we age to help protect and strengthen our bones from potential accidents.

Muscle mass is a indicator of longevity. Meaning, muscle helps you live longer and protects you from falls or broken bones. Stay strong!!
