UIL 4A State Track & Field Championships Recap 🏅
Thursday, our Floresville Tiger Track & Field athletes competed against the best in Texas, and they represented our school with pride and determination.
Kaden Cypert capped off an incredible season by becoming the UIL 4A State Champion in the 1600m! After finishing 7th at State last year, Kaden put in countless hours of hard work, dedication, and perseverance to climb to the top of the podium. We could not be more proud of the work he put in to earn the title of STATE CHAMPION!
Mason Johns delivered an outstanding performance in the High Jump, earning a 3rd place finish at the State Meet and securing his place on the podium among the best athletes in Texas. Mason competed with tremendous heart and determination throughout the entire season and rose to the occasion on the biggest stage. His competitive mindset and work ethic helped him finish as one of the top high jumpers in the state, and we are incredibly proud of the way he represented Floresville Track & Field.
Lucky Juarez wrapped up an incredible high school career by competing at the State Meet in Pole Vault and finishing 6th overall in the State. It has truly been a privilege to have Lucky in our program for the past four years. Pole vault is one of the most demanding and technical events in track and field, and Lucky has shown nothing but courage and resilience in mastering it over his career. He finishes his time at Floresville as the top vaulter in school history, leaving behind a standard of excellence.
As a team, our Floresville Tigers finished 14th overall, an incredible accomplishment and another program win! We are proud of these young men for the way they represented Floresville, their teammates, families, community, and our program.
