This weekend was a great reminder that baseball, and life, is full of ups and downs.
Between weather delays, schedule changes, and the emotional roller coaster that comes with competing, our players continued to show effort, resilience, and a willingness to battle. We are proud of the way they competed and represented Carolina Select throughout the weekend.
At the same time, weekends like this highlight areas where we must continue to grow. The small details matter. Whether it’s ex*****on, focus, communication, or situational awareness, those little things often make the biggest difference. We also have to continue learning how to manage the emotional highs and lows of the game. Baseball is a game of failure, and our ability to respond to adversity, stay composed, and move on to the next play will be critical to our long-term development.
We would also like to thank Power Baseball for their support this weekend. Being a Power Baseball affiliate provides us with the opportunity to reach out when additional players are needed, and we couldn’t be more thankful for their generosity. They not only provided us with two high-IQ baseball players, but more importantly, two outstanding young men whose work ethic, attitude, and approach to the game set a great example for our players.
Power Baseball is a tremendous organization, and we have a great deal of respect for what they have built. Their success is driven by player development, culture, and doing things the right way. We hope to continue learning, growing, and building Carolina Select with many of those same principles at the foundation of our program.
