Anxiety can be a really big thing to deal with in your life. Sometimes one of the best defenses against anxiety is learning to guard your thoughts. The battle against anxiety is often won in our thought life.

Any time you begin to feel anxious, you can begin to learn to guard your thoughts. When thoughts of anxiety come, we can begin to swap those thoughts for good ones.

Challenge yourself to think about things that are true, honorable, right, and pure. That might mean that you have to pay attention to what you watch. TV and other media can bring anxiety into your life if you’re not careful, so don’t be afraid to turn things off that aren’t causing you to be at peace.

Finally, be sure to take care of yourself. Get enough rest. Often anxiety can be heightened by lack of sleep or self-care. Don’t ignore basic self-care in times of stress and anxiety. Be sure to eat and sleep as much as you can to help yourself feel good.

Today’s Truth:
Guard your thoughts and get rid of things that don’t bring you peace.

Karate Ministry Class Announcement

It is with a heavy heart and, after much prayer and thought, that TKO Full Armor Karate Ministry classes will be coming to an end at Cleary Baptist Church.
With much changing in the seasons of our lives, it’s come to where we can’t properly offer the appropriate amount of time for beneficial progressive growth with the karate training.
It has been such a blessing to me, that this ministry has been offered for almost 11 years in 2 different locations and I am truly grateful for the time the Lord has given us to do this. I pray that this ministry has been an influence to those that have came through, and these classes have been a blessing to you in some way.
I will truly miss this ministry and all our students and leaders, but know, I will continue to train myself and will help anyone who may want to continue, in anyway I may can.

This has been a hard to make decision for me, to say the least, as karate training/teaching have been a part of my life and my families life for over 20 years…

Congratulations to our two instructor sisters on their coming weddings. Sensei Emma will be getting married to her beau John soon this month in January and Sensei Madeline will be getting married to her beau Elijah this coming February. I/we pray for God to bless you both in the coming changes in your lives.
