Tomorrow (10/19/24), our second class (from 11:30am-12:30pm) will be an introductory iaido class!

Friend of the dojo Abraham Kanner will be teaching. He has loaner equipment for us to borrow, so don't worry about equipment—bring yourself and your interest; that's everything you need!

Happy Labor Day!

Today we have our 5pm Weapons class, but we do *not* have our 6pm Aikido class.

Also, a reminder as the school year begins: We have a children's class on Wednesdays from 5:30pm-6:15pm. If you or someone you know has a child who would enjoy trying aikido, please come by!

**Upcoming Kyu Testing on Saturday, July 6!**

We have kyu testing coming up in two weeks! If you can come to class on Saturday, July 6 to support our students as they demonstrate their practice, we would greatly appreciate it!

Testing will occur during the second half of first class (so, starting around 10:40am), and we will not have second class after testing ends.

**Schedule Update**

Karen Peterson Sensei is resuming early evening Monday weapons practice! Please join us in the back courtyard on Mondays from 5pm to 5:45pm for invigorating bokken practice before our regular 6-7:15pm class.

Additionally:
This coming Saturday, June 15th, we will not have regular classes.
There are seminars happening that day, such as Litchfield Hills Aikikai's 30th anniversary seminar, and all our instructors want to attend them!

Thank you to everyone who attended our seminar with Hal Lehrman Shihan last weekend!

We deeply appreciate the thoughtful and joyous practice everyone brought to the mat, and are particularly grateful to Lehrman Shihan for his insightful and open-hearted teaching—and his jokes! Both are important to the spirit of a dojo community, and we're glad to have created such a community together last week.
